綠薄荷精油是唇形科的成員。這種油有一種讓人想起薄荷的清新薄荷味。主要區別在於留蘭香油更甜，而且沒有那麼刺鼻。它被歸類為前調，與柑橘、泥土、草本、薄荷和木質油混合得很好。
